A Working Kitchen

This Shorewood Tudor needed a kitchen refresh. The clients were intentional about working within the homes traditional classic 1920's in every decision. They wanted traditional and unfussy. To acomodate all the functional needs of the kitchen and the desire for a wine fridge we stole the perfect spot from the dining room. A cove under a bank of stunning leaded glass windows was begging for the perfect piece of furniture. Instead we build in a custom bar with a fridge drawer, wine fridge and ice maker all hidden perfectly with cabinetry that looks like a built in piece of furniture. We used Quartz for their tops that are dead ringers for marble and soap stone. We mixed metals and used hardware that had an aged appearance. The Island Pendants were one of my favorite selections from DEVOL kitchen out of the UK bringing the working kitchen vibes into home plate.
